Work Projects Report:

· 17 churches
· 218 students
· 52 full-time adult volunteers
· 100? Part-time adult volunteers
· 6 construction site volunteers
· 44 different places of service
Together here's what we were able to do:
We built 3 wheels chair ramps
We rebuilt and restored 2 porches
We worked on 9 different homes for senior citizens and/or shut-ins -we cleaned, painted, mulched, and weeded -we heard their stories, we laughed, and we cried -perhaps most importantly, we let them know they are not forgotten
We provided several thousand pounds of food for our community and beyond -spent time every day at two different farms, Our Community Farm in Timberville and the Volunteer Farm in Woodstock...both farms provide food directly to the hungry in our community -volunteered with 2 food banks right here in Harrisonburg
We loved on 4 different nursing homes, making their facilities beautiful and their residents smile
We volunteered in 7 different schools, appreciating those who work so hard to teach us so much
We spent lots of time with children
-held a Vacation Bible School each day at Merriweather Hills Apartments -spent time at the Boys and Girls Club, the Gus Bus, and an area preschool
We threw a Community Block Party for several hundred people in the middle of Harrisonburg. We gave out tons of free food, prizes, and, most of all, joy!
We served meals at the Salvation Army, cleaned up the creek, and worked at clothes closets and thrift stores.
We collected over 7,000 diapers for the Harrisonburg Pregnancy Center.
We even made cupcakes and delivered them to our firefighters, police officers, hospital staff, and more.
Organizations served included Salvation Army, Mercy House, Children's Museum, White Birch Retirement Community, Sunny Side, Our Community Farm, Boys and Girls Club, Collins Center, Eastern Mennonite University, Volunteer Farm, Blue Ridge Christian School, First Step, Hope Distributed Food Bank, Waterman Elementary School, Avante, Brethren Woods, Blessed Sacrament Food Bank, Harrisonburg Health and Rehab, Keister Elementary School, Gus Bus, King's Way Ministries, Harrisonburg High School, Harrisonburg Pregnancy Center, Equipping the Saints, Kids Harbor, Blacks Run Clean Up.

Praise GOD for an incredible Renew Camp last week. Thank you ALL for your joy-filled participation, your hard work, your great attitudes, your flexibility, your quick forgiveness, your creative and energetic ideas! I think we all would agree that despite some rain, sickness and other challenges it was truly a life changing week. What an amazing opportunity to see such humble service and love for Jesus!
You guys blew us all away; you truly were an incredible blessing to all the volunteers. You were hard-working, fun to be around, and for the most part – serious about growing in your faith. Working, watching and just being with you was such an inspiration to me. Just imagine what God has in store for you?
Thank you for being a part of this event by sending your students. You've got great kids! Your support and faith in the planning team helped make this possible. As hoped, we have been blessed to truly see renewal in our churches, ourselves and our community.
God has and is moving powerfully among us,as He often does, through His people.
